San Diego & Newport Beach
San Diego is a reeeally nice city! Although it's the second largest in California, it has a rather small and clear city-center. The weather is certainly fine all around the year and the beaches seem like the cherry on the cake.
We visited among other things the US-Midway Museum which is a real naval aircraft carrier that served in the Navy for almost 50 years.
Originally we didn't plan to stop in Newport Beach but on our drive from San Diego to Los Angeles we passed it so of course Klaus had to exit the highway... Why? Because I'm (still yeah!) a huge fan of the "the O.C"! For those of you who don't know that's a American teen TV soap set in Newport Beach. Although it wasn't really filmed there I still had to catch a glimpse of it ;) nice!
